Daydreams

Laying on your back
In bright green grass,
Staring at the clouds of summer
Your mind drifts to a daydream.
You close your eyes and see
A handsome guy leaning on a tree.
Dark hair and dark eyes,
Tall and rugged,
He smiles at you,
A menacing smile.
Suddenly, he pulls out a gun.
A crack, an unbelievable pain.
You scream.
Darkness surrounds you.
You open your eyes to end the fantasy
But, you don't see the blue sky.
You see white walls and a nurse.
It was just a fantasy,
Wasn't it?

A Face In The Mist

A face in the mist
shrouded in darkness,
black as night,
cold as ice.

A face in the mist
coming ever closer,
then receding father,
but, always in sight.

A face in the mist
on a mission of death,
a quest for souls
that will never end.

A face in the mist
always in my dreams,
it haunts my sleep,
it comes for me.

A face in the mist
thwarted once,
but never again.
next time He'll win.

The Cage

Trapped,
Barred off,
Cut away from the world.
Alone,
So different,
And so very afraid.
Lonely,
For the touch
Of a loving hand.
Knowing
with certainty
It can never be.
Hoping,
Believing,
That their wish is true
Lies,
All lies,
To torment and dismay.
Broken,
Betrayed,
No reason to live.
Killed
By their own hand
Trapped in the cage.
